Nintendo Wii 2 Reveal Likely at E3, Analyst Says

Sterne Agee's Arvind Bhatia believes that such an announcement may happen at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) conference this year.

"Microsoft and Sony are expected to persist with the current consoles for the foreseeable future (at least 2 to 3 years and maybe longer). However, Nintendo will likely need to introduce its next upgrade (Wii 2.0?) much before that, simply to catch up with the technology in the PS3 and the 360. Wii’s motion-controller advantage no longer exists given the introduction of Microsoft Kinect and Sony’s Move last year," Bhatia said.

分析師認為，PS3/360還可以再撐個二到三年甚至更久(PS3我相信是可以啦，但360還要撐三年以上?! 會不會太勉強?)，但Wii在體感優勢消失後，應該會在今年或明年釋出次世代主機的消息，已維持其市場優勢。

另外，這篇文章提到個有趣的數字：英國的問卷調查指出，在1070位受訪的Wii擁有者中，48%已經超過半年以上沒開機了。
